Marcy Blum is an internationally acclaimed luxury event planner, author, and entertaining expert who has shaped the modern event industry for over three decades. Celebrated for her signature "unpretentious elegance," Marcy blends theater, spatial design, and culinary artistry to create bespoke, high-profile celebrations where no two events look alike.
A true pioneer, Marcy graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1975 as part of its first co-educational class. Her 20-year background in the food industry as a chef and restaurant consultant heavily informs her events, ensuring the dining experience matches the visual spectacle.
As the founder of Marcy Blum Events, her roster of elite clients includes LeBron James, Billy Joel, Kevin Bacon, and George Soros. Marcy is a regular expert on The Today Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show, the author of Weddings For Dummies, and is consistently named a top global planner by Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Martha Stewart Weddings.
